Ok, so I am riding down the road listening to the Russellville Muscle Shoals rematch. No way did I think MHS had a chance when Turner and Clay fouled out about half way through the 4th. I really thought RHS would put it away but they cant sink the free throws and Mastin and crew take advantage. So, it comes down to 10 seconds to go in the with MHS up by 1 and RHS's Winston has the ball and according to the MHS announcers, loses control and there is a scramble on the floor for it and then the whistle blows (foul on MHS) with a couple of seconds to go.......I believe what they said was......ohhhh noooo........How can you make that call when there is a scramble for the ball on the floor? Now, what I want to know is was this the right call? Did anyone see it?
i was there and didn't see anything, (from my vantage point at half -court) that would justify that call being made. but, i WAS 35 feet away and the refs were closer than me. it's a shame the game was somewhat tainted because both teams busted every gut they had. i'll remember that game for a long time.
mack - I was further away than you and had the same opinion. What do you think about the Smith kid from RHS vs MHS Turner. Apparently, prepsportsguru thinks alot of Turner but I think that Smith can play too. There should be plenty of duals between them over the next couple of years.

I was not there but people on Muscle Shoals fans and Russellville fans have both told me that they call was very very veyr wrong. A Russellville parents told me that no one from either team was touching the ball.
Also, apparently during the first half Muscle Shoals couldn't walk on the court without having a foul called on them.
